Surge Protections

Commercial Surge Protection keeps your business safe from equipment failure. Electrical transient surges are bursts of energy which are induced upon data, communication, and power lines. They have extremely high voltages which drive huge amount of current into electrical lines for seconds.

Additionally, any commercial, industrial, or public building that is supplied by overhead lines requires surge protection –so most buildings will require surge protection.

Where should surge protection be installed?

Surge protection (type 1 or type 2) should be tied at the origin of the supply to the property. This can be installed inside the existing consumer unit, fed from the consumer unit and tied in its own enclosure.
